What changes can we expect in interview methods over the next 5 years as the professional landscape evolves? Will CVs and cover letters continue to play significant role in the application process?

Finance Partner’s CEO, Ivaylo Slavov, addresses these questions and more in an interview on “Business Video Podcast” on bTV on 30th January 2024. Ivaylo shares fascinating insights into the Future of Work and his journey as a serial entrepreneur and investor in the new job platform, WorkTalent. He highlights the leading advantages and innovations of the platform and the main reasons that convinced and motivated him to invest in it.

As one of the first entrepreneurs to commercialize online job search platforms in the late 1990s, Ivaylo has a personal connection to the development of this field. “We were just a handful of people involved in the human resources market and the technological advancements and digitization that we are talking about 24 years later,” Ivaylo reflects, sharing his main motivation for supporting Dir.bg’s project WorkTalent in the Business Video Podcast. WorkTalent leverages artificial intelligence to enhance the recruitment process for both employers and candidates, matching candidates with the right job opportunities.

“The trend is for companies to find people, not employees finding employers,” Ivaylo notes, emphasizing that the platform has Employer Branding features designed to make companies as attractive as possible to candidates.

A key factor for Slavov is the connection between WorkTalent and VibeJobs, an app that enables real-time communication between candidates and employers via Viber:

This connection is designed to assist those who have limited access to online platforms and primarily use their phones. By facilitating faster and easier communication, it helps users connect more efficiently with potential employers.” says Ivaylo.

Regarding future application possibilities, Ivaylo doubts that CVs will be necessary in five years. He is also confident that internships will be different.

“You won’t be fetching coffee or documents from the printer anymore. That’s over,” he states. However, some details will remain important to employers, such as a higher education.

Slavov firmly advises, “My message to those wondering whether to pursue a diploma is definitely to go for it. Not everyone can be a Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg—those are rare exceptions to the rule.”
