AI Skills for Economic Growth: Why is AI knowledge essential to our future? According to Slavov, expertise in AI is critical for Bulgaria’s future, as businesses increasingly rely on artificial intelligence to enhance processes.

Education Aligned with Industry Needs: How can Bulgaria’s education system adapt to meet business demands? Addressing the gap between education and the labor market, Slavov highlighted the need for a reformed education system that meets business demands.

Slavov highlighted the growing importance of AI, advocating for accessible AI training across the country. “Every Bulgarian city should have an AI training center. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly commercialized, its impact on the job market will grow. Businesses will adopt AI more actively to streamline processes. Citizens need access to this knowledge to enhance their qualifications,” said Slavov.

Slavov also emphasized the role of the government in supporting this initiative through a proposed National Digital Information Hub, which would drive training efforts, particularly in regional cities, and prepare citizens for labor market evolution. “The government could support this by establishing a National Digital Information Hub to facilitate training, especially in regional cities. Such an initiative would raise public awareness and prepare people for labor market changes. There are individuals within the education system who have a deep understanding of AI and are working to introduce AI-focused programs into secondary education. Supporting their efforts is essential. ” he concluded.
