5xlabs – Exciting Opportunity for Startups

On October 14^th 2024, Finance Partner’s CEO, Ivaylo Slavov, joined the jury committee, alongside other esteemed leaders, at the 9th edition of the 𝟓𝐱𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐒 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The competition brought together the brightest entrepreneurial talents and most promising startups from Southeast Europe, presenting cutting-edge solutions in sustainable micro-mobility, health-conscious food & beverages, biomass products, and personal energy autonomy.

At the competition final round, the top 7 startups had 120 minutes to compete for the prestigious title of “Most Fundable Startup”.

Our commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable growth was reflected in the rigorous criteria applied during the competition. Key evaluation factors included the sustainability and scalability of the business models, their social and environmental impact, product or service innovation, and the market potential of each startup, i.e. the presence of a clearly defined market with strong growth potential.

Brain Foods, a startup offering innovative solutions in health-conscious food, was crowned the winner, securing a €50,000 equity investment. The jury also recognized the remarkable achievements of the runner-up startups: Shimani Bulgaria, a beauty company, and Vinghen, developers of cutting-edge electric bikes and scooters.

This year’s edition of 5xLABS highlights the importance of diverse industries and sustainable solutions. As we look ahead, Finance Partner remains committed to empowering startups that are shaping the future with fresh perspectives and bold ideas.
